Zanele Mbokazi has sadly passed away.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, a beloved figure in the South African entertainment industry and the founder of the prestigious Crown Gospel Awards. Zanele’s husband, Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, confirmed her death in a heartfelt statement, revealing that she passed away in the early hours of Monday at Parklands Hospital. The family expressed their gratitude for the love and support they received during her illness and requested privacy as they navigate this difficult time.

Zanele’s journey in the public eye was marked by her vibrant personality and her dedication to uplifting the gospel music community. As a presenter on Ukhozi FM, she became a household name, known for her engaging style and passion for music. Her influence extended beyond the airwaves; she was a pioneer in recognizing and celebrating gospel talent through the Crown Gospel Awards, which have become a significant event in the South African entertainment calendar.

Zanele’s health challenges began earlier this year when she fell ill while presenting her show, Eshilo, on April 21. Her struggle with her voice led to her colleague, Thokozani MaMkhize Ndlovu, stepping in to fill her role. Following her initial health concerns, her daughter Nonjabulo revealed to TshisaLIVE that Zanele had undergone minor surgery to address issues related to shortness of breath. However, the situation took a tragic turn when Bishop Mpendulo disclosed that Zanele had been diagnosed with lung cancer, a battle she faced with courage and grace.

Zanele Mbokazi has sadly passed away.
Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of many who admired her talent and spirit. Zanele’s contributions to the gospel music scene and her role as a mentor to emerging artists will not be forgotten. She was not only a voice on the radio but also a beacon of hope and inspiration for many in her community.

As we reflect on Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule’s legacy, we remember her for her unwavering commitment to her craft, her love for her family, and her passion for uplifting others. The outpouring of love and condolences from fans and colleagues alike is a testament to the impact she had on so many lives.

In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Zanele’s light may have dimmed, but her spirit will continue to shine through the music and the lives she touched. May she rest in peace.

Jordan Chiles faces Olympic medal loss after sh0ck ruling

Jordan Chiles may lose the bronze medal she earned in the women’s floor final at the recent Olympics.

This bombshell ruling comes from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). They decided that Chiles’ medal was awarded improperly.

JORDAN CHILES SCORE POINTS
Chiles, the 23-year-old US gymnast, initially scored 13.666, placing her fifth, according to Daily Mail.

However, after her coach, Cecile Landi, successfully appealed, the judges increased her score by 0.1, moving her up to third place.

This adjustment had a ripple effect, pushing Romania’s Ana Barbosu and Sabrina Maneca-Voinea down to fourth and fifth, respectively. This was despite their identical scores of 13.700.

JORDAN CHILES SCORE ADJUSTMENT
In a surprising decision on Saturday, CAS overturned the score adjustment, according to The Guardian.

They ruled that Chiles lodged her appeal outside the one-minute window stipulated by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

The court ordered that the original standings be restored. This reinstated Barbosu to third place, with Maneca-Voinea fourth and Chiles fifth.

JORDAN CHILES AND USA GYMNASTICS
USA Gymnastics has expressed its devastation at the ruling.

In response, Chiles announced a break from social media for her mental health. “I need to take some time off for myself. This has been a lot to process.”

This ruling also removes the distinction of having the first all-black Olympic gymnastics podium, according to the Washington Post.

JORDAN CHILES AND THE CONTROVERSIAL RULING
The historic moment was celebrated by many, but now it seems it may be short-lived.

The ruling has sparked a storm of reactions.

Barbosu, who had prematurely celebrated with a Romanian flag, felt devastated by the change.

“I was heartbroken when I saw the score adjustment,” she said. “I only want fairness and to be rewarded for our efforts.”

THE ROMANIAN GYMNASTICS FEDERATION
The Romanian Gymnastics Federation had lodged formal complaints with CAS, aiming to restore the rightful standings.

They argued that the judges’ decision to adjust Jordan Chiles’ score was a mistake.

“Our goal is to correct the errors made and restore our athletes’ rights,” the federation said in a statement.

CLOSING CEREMONY BOYCOTTS
The controversy has ignited broader debates.

Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu even declared he would boycott the closing ceremony in protest.

He promised to honour Barbosu and Maneca-Voinea, “including in terms of the prizes.”

ALLEGED RACIAL BIAS
Jordan’s sister, Jazmin Chiles, took to social media, alleging racial bias in the decision.

“Racism is real, and it’s affecting my sister,” Jazmin said.

“Her medal was stripped over a matter of seconds due to judging errors, not her performance.”

She added, “In Olympic history, no one has ever lost a medal for this reason. It’s unfair.”

TEAM MATES SHOW SUPPORT
Chiles’ teammate, Suni Lee, also voiced her disappointment.

“This is utterly unacceptable,” Lee wrote online. “I’m gutted for Jordan. I’ve got her back no matter what.”

Simone Biles, a close friend and teammate, has shown solidarity with Jordan Chiles, sharing a post on Instagram that celebrated their achievements together.

“Red, white, Biles & Chiles,” Biles captioned a photo of them on the podium.

‘No pay, no job’: Makhadzi ‘turns down’ R150 000 gig

Makhadzi is making headlines after reportedly turning down a gig because the amount was less than expected.

With an illustrious career spanning years, Makhadzi has fast become one of the most sought-after stars and has wowed many with her energetic performances.

MAKHADZI REPORTEDLY TURNS DOWN R150 000 GIG
Since being thrust into the limelight, she has headlined several shows across the globe and shared the stage with some of the biggest acts in the entertainment industry.

However, she has managed to keep her bookings under wraps, leaving many to guess about her booking fees.

The celebrated dancer is making headlines after reportedly turning down R150 000 after being booked.

Despite being the face of the Phalaphala Royal Heritage Festival over the years, Makhadzi won’t be part of this year’s celebrations, as the two failed to find common ground.

Rumour mill has it that the star singer has since set the record straight that she won’t be part of the festival.

However, many were more than convinced she was dragging the show organisers because her One Woman Show was scheduled for the same day as the festival.

Reports show that the festival had no fixed budget, leaving Makhadzi insecure. Over the years, she has been considered one of the most booked stars.

Rumour has it that her booking fees are at least R200 000, depending on the season and event. However, she has been said to be one of the most affordable acts and always honours her gigs.

Last year, she hogged headlines when she was paid R500 000 for a show in the United Kingdom.

NO PAY, NO JOB
Against the news that has since thrust her into top trends, Makhadzi has shared her side of the story.

Makhadzi revealed that the festival’s organisers don’t have a fixed budget, making it difficult for her to honour the gig.

Makhadzi said, “I am not going to Phalaphala Royal Heritage; they say they don’t have a budget.

“I am setting the record straight so that my fans and followers shouldn’t say I intentionally refused to be there or I am becoming big-headed.”

“I realised that there were already false rumours spreading about my name in this regard. I’m still Makhadzi of the nation under the motto: no pay, no job, and vice versa,” Makhadzi added.

Makhadzi will host her One Woman Show on the same day as the fest. The show will be held in December, and tickets are almost sold out.

Nara Smith sets the record straight on gender roles

n the digital age, where influencers shape trends and inspire lifestyles, Nara Smith has emerged as a prominent figure.

NARA SMITH AND GENDER ROLES
The former model, now a TikTok sensation, captivates millions with her meticulously crafted videos. In her videos she prepares everything from homemade snacks to household essentials.

Dressed to perfection, Nara showcases her life as a devoted wife and mother.

Yet, despite her growing popularity, she’s found herself in the midst of a debate she never intended to spark, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

NARA SMITH IS NOT PUSHING AN AGENDA
In a rare interview, Nara addressed the misconceptions surrounding her content.

“People assume I’m pushing a narrative about traditional gender roles, but that’s not my intention,” Nara clarified.

“I’m not saying this is normal or that people have to live this way to be a certain kind of person.”

NARA SMITH AND ‘TRAD WIVES’
Nara’s TikToks often highlight her daily routines, where she caters to her husband, fellow model Lucky Blue Smith, and their children.

The couple has become the poster family for the new wave of “tradwives” on the internet, according to Entertainment Tonight.

But Nara insists this image is not something she consciously cultivated.

NARA SMITH AND LUCKY BLUE
Responding to accusations that her videos are mere performance, Nara dismissed the notion that she and Lucky Blue are putting up a front.

“What people think online is that we have housekeepers, cleaners, and nannies, but in reality, it’s just me and Lucky wanting a family and sharing our lives online,” Nara Smith revealed.

The couple has limited household help, relying on a nanny for only a few hours each week.

SHARING RESPONSIBILITIES
Nara Smith and Lucky Blue have developed a partnership in every aspect of their lives,, according to IMDB.

They share parenting and home care responsibilities, crafting a daily childcare plan together each night.

“It’s not about thinking, ‘Oh, I need to make my husband a meal right now, or he’ll be upset,’” Nara explained.

EMBRACING TRADITIONAL ROLES
Lucky Blue echoed her sentiment: “I view our situation as a big partnership. When she’s cooking all these meals…”

Nara Smith interjected with a laugh, “He does the cleanup, which I’m grateful for because I hate that part.”

As for the perception that Nara is encouraging women to embrace traditional gender roles, she was quick to dispel the notion.

“In no way am I suggesting that others should follow what I do,” she said.

CONTENT AND THE MORMON FAITH
“Whether it’s a meal idea or a home-cooked dish I’ve made for my toddler, I’m just putting content out there to inspire.

People can take from it whatever they want.”

Nara and Lucky Blue have also faced scrutiny for occasionally referencing their Mormon faith in their videos. This lead some to accuse them of pushing religious propaganda.

Nara found this accusation baffling. “I’m definitely not doing that,” she asserted.

YOUNG MOTHERHOOD
“Everyone’s faith is deeply personal. I would never want to put something out there for people to follow. That’s crazy to me.”

Beyond her homemaker persona, Nara Smith has drawn attention for being a young mother.

At just 22, she’s already a mother of three, and a stepmother to Lucky Blue’s child from a previous relationship.

Some critics speculated that Lucky Blue pressured her into motherhood too early, but Nara firmly disagreed.

“It was my decision. Lucky had Gravity when he was really young.

FAMILY LIFE
It felt natural for me to have kids early too,” she explained. “I love being a young mum.”

However, Nara has no plans to expand her family further.

“After Whimsy, we’re absolutely done,” she said with a smile. “Toddlers are the best form of birth control—they’re wild!”

In a world where influencers often face criticism for the messages they send, Nara Smith is clear about her intentions.

She’s not promoting a lifestyle or ideology—she’s simply sharing her life. And that, she hopes, is enough.

Onalenna’s mention of ‘Chidimma’ annoys Mzansi and reportedly costs her to win the crown.

Miss South Africa (Miss SA) viewers believe Onalenna Constantin’s subtle reference to the Chidimma Adetshina controversy may have cost her the crown.

The Top 3 finalist – a firm crowd favourite – made reference to her, the former pageant contestant, who was at the centre of a social media storm over her nationality

Ultimately, Mia Le Roux – the pageant’s first deaf winner – was crowned in a glittering ceremony at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Nompumelelo Maduna was named her runner-up.

DID ONALENNA MAKE REFERENCE TO EX-FINALIST CHIDIMMA?
During a “quick fire” question-and-answer round, Onalenna Constantin was asked if she believed technology had brought individuals closer together or driven them apart.

The question was posed by Miss SA judge Lerato Kganyago, who has also come under fire for defending Chidimma on social media.

Responding, Onalenna said: “I believe that technology has driven us apart.

“These last couple of weeks have been very difficult for me. Because I can see how South Africa has been divided through the works of technology.”

She added: “I’m standing here, urging South Africans to stand in unity. Remember who you are so that South Africa can thrive again”.

On the X app, many believed that Onalenna’s answer was a subtle nod to Chidimma, with whom she shared a close friendship. And some believed the bold move may have cost her the crown.

@JonMarduk: “Crown gone for Onalenna. Should have left that Chidimma nonsense out her brain“.

@The_CitizenZA: “Onalenna was a favourite until she tried to be in solidarity with her Chichi friend.”

@Thato_Elizabeth: “Onalenna tripped herself up by speaking about Chichi.”Onalenna’s comments came hours after South African singer Tyla also defended Chidimma.

The Grammy-winning star tweeted of the former Miss SA contestant: “Disappointed that this happened to her. But wish you all the best girl. Kill it!”

She added: “I will always stand with South Africa. I just feel regardless of the opinions…She was bullied, and that’s what I don’t stand for.”

Like Onalenna, Tyla’s comments were widely ridiculed by SA tweeps.Like Tyla, Miss SA finalist Onalenna Constantin also defended Chidimma Adetshina. This comes amid an investigation by Home Affairs into her nationality.

“Yoh!” she added before walking off.
