The singer recently opened up about her motivation.

“A lot of things have shown me that I’m here for a reason, I shouldn’t give up, I should keep going. One of those moments was my graduation day when I received my double platinum plague for Phakade Lam. It made me think a lot because, at some point, I thought I would fail and be required to repeat my fourth year and not graduate,” she said.

Mom says she’s been ignoring cyber bullies, though that was not the case at the start of her music journey.

“When I began in the game, I used to cry every time something negative was said about me on social media. Most of the time that happened, I’d be home, and my mum used to say ‘Moh, out of 10 people, nine are showing you love, and this person is here to crush your soul and you let them win? Just delete that comment and show the people who are giving you love the same love.”

“So, the moment I accepted that not everyone would love me, I learned and that helped me. I even have a song titled Uyazkhohlwa because at times we tend to forget who we are. We need to go back to the mirror and remind ourselves who we are. I should stay true to myself,” she added.

Lerato added that she had to buy a house as she got tired of renting a place that she could not renovate or decorate.

“Also, the complex I was staying in was too big with a lot of people, and I was uncomfortable to even take a walk because of my anxiety. And, people just seeing where I live because they would guess on my TikTok comments made me uncomfortable and unsafe – almost like I had no privacy,” she said.

However, she admitted that she had challenges negotiating a good price and not understanding some things during her meetings with attorneys. But she encouraged people to go after their goals.

“You have to see it; believe it and you’ll definitely achieve it. Save money; attorneys are expensive. Having a good budget and the discipline to live within your means is also important. But most importantly, please pray. God hears you and answers all prayers. There is so much I still want to achieve before 25. If I had to begin unpacking it, people would think I’m crazy. But I believe in God so much that I know all is possible,” she concluded.

Legendary actress Leleti Khumalo reveals reason

Legendary South African actress Leleti Khumalo-Khanyile has made headlines by publicly announcing her staunch refusal to perform kissing scenes in her acting career. The celebrated actress, best known for her iconic role in the international hit film Sarafina!, has cited personal principles and her husband’s preferences as the driving forces behind her decision.

Leleti Khumalo-Khanyile, who rose to prominence with her captivating performances, recently delivered the Simon Mabhunu Sabela lecture at the Industry Development graduation held under the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission and KwaZulu-Natal Tourism (KZNTAFA). During this enlightening event, she took the opportunity to shed light on her career choices and the challenges she has faced.

Renowned for her talent, Leleti Khumalo-Khanyile’s decision to abstain from kissing scenes has not come without consequences. Speaking with unwavering conviction, Leleti revealed that her refusal to participate in such intimate scenes played a significant role in her departure from the popular television series Generations.

The acclaimed actress, who hails from KwaMashu in KwaZulu-Natal, emphasized the importance of staying true to one’s principles and not compromising personal comfort for the sake of success. “I’m married, and my husband made it clear that kissing another man is a no. It’s part of the craft. As you progress, there will come a time when you can dictate your terms. If something doesn’t suit you, you have the right to walk away,” Leleti candidly stated during her address.

Her unwavering stance against on-screen intimacy has sparked a necessary dialogue within the entertainment industry, shedding light on the challenges actors face when confronted with decisions that potentially conflict with their personal beliefs and values. While some may view Leleti’s decision as a risk to her career, she firmly believes that compromising oneself for the sake of success is not an option.

By addressing these critical issues, she demonstrated her unwavering commitment to the well-being and ethical treatment of actors.

During her inspiring speech, Leleti also praised the efforts of the KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission and KwaZulu-Natal Tourism for their invaluable support in nurturing and developing local talent. She expressed her hope that KwaZulu-Natal would become a thriving hub for filmmaking, providing opportunities for the province’s abundant pool of gifted individuals.

As the lecture concluded, Leleti Khumalo-Khanyile tantalized the audience with hints of her ongoing involvement in the acting industry and a future project. Her dedication to her craft and unwavering commitment to her principles continue to inspire aspiring actors and industry professionals alike.
