Manie Libbok and his fiancée Verna-Lee Arries are gearing up for their big day.
Arries shared photos from her bridal shower on Instagram on Monday, 9 September. The event took place at Meade Cafe in George in the Western Cape.
WHERE DID THE PAIR MEET?
The pair met at Outeniqua High School in George in the Western Cape. Arries previously described her husband-to-be as shy.
“We were in the same business class and that’s where we met. He was very shy and quiet and I’m very bubbly so I was the first one talking to him,” she said in an interview with Insider SA.
She also mentioned that they have a lot in common including sport as she did athletics and netball in school. Arries revealed that Libbok was most romantic on their first few dates.
“He invited me to the strawberry farm, we were still young, we had to do a maze. Then you go through stuff at the strawberry farm… but now it’s like we plan it together. I like eating so he knows that’s the part to my heart so he can just take me to a restaurant and we’ll be fine,” she said.
