In a heartfelt interview with YOU magazine, Schuster revealed that he suffered a second fall while recuperating, severely delaying his healing process.The physical and emotional toll of this second accident has weighed heavily on Schuster. “I’ve been through a rough patch, man, through absolute hell,” he said. “It’s been almost 10 months since my first surgery, and this setback has really hit hard.” He described the confusion that led to his second fall, saying, “I woke up disoriented, wet my pants, slipped in the urine, and fell on my back again, feeling an excruciating pain.”
Despite the immense pain, Leon Schuster remains grateful for his current situation. “I’m not in a good place, but I’m in a grateful place. I try to keep my spirits up with some light-heartedness,” he added. Now, Schuster relies on a walking stick and has been warned by his doctors to exercise extreme caution, as another fall could result in permanent damage.
Schuster’s medical team has advised him to undergo a third surgery, but he first needs to lose 15 kilograms to minimize the risk of complications. The comedian admitted he is anxious about the upcoming procedure, acknowledging the risks involved. “The doctor told me they can only reduce 50% of my pain, and any mistake in this delicate operation could have severe consequences,” Schuster shared.
In the meantime, nights filled with anxiety have become part of Schuster’s reality. “I worry whether I’ll survive this, whether I’ll make it,” he confessed.
