Afro soul singer Puleng Phoofolo has been discharged from the hospital after surviving a tragic car accident. The accident claimed the lives of musicians Malome Vector, Lizwi Wokuqala, and music director Da Vos.

Puleng Phoofolo took to her Facebook page to release a statement detailing the accident. In the statement, she confirmed that the vehicle had four occupants, including herself. Tragically, the accident resulted in the deaths of Malome Vector, Lizwi Wokuqala, and Da Vos.


 

 

 

 

 

“In light of recent reports on social media, I would like to reassure all my fans and the media at large that I have been discharged from the hospital and I am home recovering. I do confirm that indeed I was in the car that tragically collided with a truck and resulted in the untimely death of my industry brothers, Bakang Moleli aka Malome Vector, Lizwi Wokuqala, and Director Da Mos,” her statement read.

Details of the Accident

The group was traveling to Lesotho when the accident occurred in Kroonstad, Free State, on the N8 national route. Puleng Phoofolo confirmed that the car they were traveling in collided with a truck.

Loss to the Music Industry
Phoofolo expressed her deep sense of loss:

“Malome Vector and the entire team at Whole Time Entertainment have played a pivotal role in the growth and advancement of my brand and music career. This is a great loss to me and the industry as a whole.”

Phoofolo expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she has received during this difficult time:

“I further would like to say that I am overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring love and support that I have been receiving during this trying time. My life flashed before my eyes, and I cannot thank God enough for his grace and mercy,” she added.

Clarification on Media Reports

Phoofolo’s statement also addressed confusion caused by media reports regarding who was involved in the accident. Some reports mistakenly claimed that she had died, while others incorrectly included musician Ntate Stunna among the deceased. Ntate Stunna’s management clarified that he was not part of the accident, likely due to the similarity of his music genre with Malome Vector.
