RIP Darlington Michaels: Beloved South African Actor Passes Away.

Well-known Isidingo actor Darlington Michaels passed away on Friday, 13 September.

Actorspaces confirmed the passing of the legendary actor Darglinton Michaels in an Instagram post on Friday.

“Rest in Power to the legendary Darlington Michaels. A true icon whose talent and legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of many.”


 

 

 

 

 

“His immense contribution to the industry shaped South African television and left a profound impact on all who had the privilege to witness his artistry.”

The South African will give an update on his memorial and funeral services as soon as possible.

‘ISIDINGO’ ACTOR: HOSPITALISED
Zimoja recently revealed that the former Isidingo star Darlington Michaels, famously known as Papa G was admitted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

A patient from the hospital adds that the medical staff on duty had to assist the veteran actor with an oxygen since he was struggling to breathe.

“Everyone in the emergency reception recognised him. He has really aged. It was sad to watch,” says the source.

An actor who used to work Michaels says the veteran actor reached out to him a few weeks ago asking for assistance because he was not feeling well.

He adds that Michaels also previously complained about not landing acting gigs.

Darlington Michaels and his family were not available for a comment when the publication reached out to him.

Michaels also starred as conman Daliza in the Mzansi Magic’s sitcom Chandies in 2012.

The veteran actor also appeared in Netflix’s popular comedy drama, How to Ruin Christmas: The Funeral as a Man in the Airplane.

He also starred in The Road as Themba Mashinini Senior, SABC1’s drama, Gazlam as Pipe Man and Vula Vala as Gab.SOUTH AFRICANS PAY TRIBUTE
